Countdowns - Day Counter ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

The countdown events you create within the app, including:

- Card style preferences
- Notification preferences for each event

- Widget configurations

💳 Purchase Information
If you subscribe to a Countdowns plan or buy the Lifetime purchase:
- Apple handles all payment processing securely
- We only receive confirmation of your subscription status
- We do not have access to your payment details
How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the app's functionality:
- Core Features: Display your countdowns and calculate remaining days
- iCloud Sync: Sync your data across your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch
- Notifications: Send local reminders for upcoming events (with your permission)
- Widgets: Display your events on Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy mode
- Live Activities: Show real-time countdowns on Dynamic Island (when enabled)
- Apple Watch: Display complications and sync events to your watch
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely in the following locations:
Local Storage
All event data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, protected by your device's security features.
iCloud Storage
If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across devices using Apple's CloudKit, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Security Measures
We leverage Apple's built-in security features including encryption, secure enclave, and sandboxing.
Data Sharing
We take your privacy seriously:
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- We do not share your event data with advertisers
- We do not use third-party analytics services
- We do not display advertisements in the app
- Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account
Third-Party Services
Countdowns integrates with the following Apple services:
- iCloud/CloudKit: For data synchronization (controlled by your iCloud settings)
- App Store/StoreKit: For processing subscriptions and purchases
- Apple Push Notifications: For local event reminders
- WidgetKit: For Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets

Analytics & Tracking
No Tracking: Countdowns does not collect analytics or tracking data. We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, or user tracking tools. Your usage of the app is completely private.
Children's Privacy
Countdowns does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The app is designed for general audiences and does not include age-restricted content.
Your Rights & Choices
You have full control over your data:
Delete Data
Delete individual events or all data by uninstalling the app
Control Sync
Enable or disable iCloud sync in your device settings
Manage Notifications
Control notifications in Settings > Countdowns > Notifications
International Users
Countdowns is available worldwide. Your data is processed and stored according to Apple's data residency policies for iCloud. For users in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR including data access, rectification, and erasure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- For significant changes, we may notify you within the app
